U.S. industrial manufacturers are uncertain about economy

PricewaterhouseCoopers' U.S. Manufacturing Barometer showed that 52% of industrial manufacturers are uncertain about the country's economic condition in the next 12 months. The panel found that 35% of manufacturers are optimistic while 13% are pessimistic about the economy. The figures suggest "that industrial manufacturers are approaching spending and overall business decisions in a cautious and conservative manner, certainly in the short-term," said Barry Misthal, U.S. industrial manufacturing leader for PwC.
