Pinot noir still on top

Newly introduced wines earned 10% of the $500 million growth in wine sales at U.S. drug and grocery stores for the year ending in midsummer 2007, according to Information Resources. Pinot noir led the five "flavor types" that earned 63% of total dollars, followed by chardonnay, red blends, syrah and Riesling, the analysis revealed.
