Staples to add online inventory from 3rd-party sellers

Staples is redesigning its e-commerce site into a marketplace that will feature products from third-party sellers in addition to its own merchandise, a move that the company says will boost its online offerings from about 200,000 SKUs to more than 1 million. "Businesses may need hard hats or networking technology, or products for their employee break rooms. We'll be covering any business needs," said Faisal Masud, Staples' executive vice president of global e-commerce.
