Nokia's lead over Samsung narrows in global phone market

Nokia held onto its global cellphone lead in the third quarter but continued to lose market share as Samsung Electronics narrowed the gap between the handset makers, according to reports from research firms IDC and Strategy Analytics. Both reports put Nokia's lead at slightly under 5 percentage points. ZTE gained the most ground, passing Apple and landing in fourth place behind LG Electronics.
