Vascular function is hit by just 1 high-fat meal, study says

A single high-fat meal affects vascular function in healthy individuals who do not have cardiovascular disease, University of Calgary researchers told the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress. The study found that microvascular function dropped after the meal, suggesting that impairment of the microvascular bed could be the link between high-fat diets and atherosclerosis.
