For JetBlue, cautious growth is the order of the day

JetBlue Airways plans to grow organically rather than jump on the mergers and acquisitions trend, according to CEO Dave Barger. With high customer satisfaction numbers and $1 billion in revenue for the last quarter, "We don't see a need to" rush to the altar, he noted. In Denver as part of a nationwide tour of JetBlue markets, Barger said the company would choose its battles and expand cautiously. With three carriers already battling for market share in the Mile High City, for instance, JetBlue has no immediate plans to expand beyond its three daily flights to New York and Boston.
