Web-based program helps parents track students' progress

A California school district is helping parents keep track of students' grades and attendance with a Web-based program. Pinnacle allows parents to view students' information in one place and can be customized to send e-mail notifications of absences or missing assignments. "There's a real belief that children can be more successful when parents have information, and they have that information now," a district administrator said.
