Two health groups that are ahead of the ICD-10 curve offer lessons

A KLAS report says less than 10% of providers are more than halfway prepared for the ICD-10 transition, but SSM Health Care in St. Louis and Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego are well along in their planning. Focusing on staff training and looking at ICD-10 as a clinical documentation effort have allowed both health groups to make significant strides in their readiness efforts, officials said at the recent CHIME Fall CIO Forum.
