Ultima acquires 2 San Francisco hotels from Starwood

In a $125 million deal, Ultima Hospitality acquired the Westin San Francisco Airport and the Aloft San Francisco Airport from Starwood. Capital improvements are planned for the Westin, and both hotels will shift to a franchise structure. "With favorable capital market conditions and improving hotel industry fundamentals, we’re seeing continued strong investor interest in our remaining assets," said Simon Turner, president of global development for Starwood, who is looking forward to similar deals.
