AirTran loyalists plead for business class after Southwest takeover

Business travelers who frequently fly with AirTran Airways have formed an informal organization called AirTranSOS (for Save Our Seats), urging Southwest Airlines to preserve assigned business-class seating once it completes its takeover of AirTran. "This is simply a campaign begging Southwest Airlines to keep the best of AirTran Airways alive," says Joe Leader, an SOS spokesman. Southwest says it is focused "on leveraging the best of both airlines."
