Biotech groups work to defeat California Proposition 79

BIO and the San Diego life sciences organization Biocom say that Proposition 79 would hurt investment in biotech companies and would restrict research and development if approved by California voters on Tuesday. Rival Proposition 78, which establishes a program for voluntary drug discounts, is supported by Biocom and most of the state's biotech industry.
