The Oct. 3 issue of Gay & Lesbian Leadership SmartBrief included a summary of a Los Angeles Times story that has since been corrected by the paper. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center did not run an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign ad with the tagline "HIV is a gay disease," on public billboards, as was originally reported by the Times. Ads using that tagline appeared only in magazines targeted at gay men.
