CMS final rule aims to broaden Medicare preventive services

The CMS has released a final rule that will allow major provisions in the PPACA to broaden Medicare preventive services, improve fees for primary care services and pave the way for more access to rural health care. The provisions are set to take effect Jan. 1 and will cover fees for services that are part of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.
