What happens to students' online work after they graduate?

Teachers and students are increasingly posting and sharing information online, and one school board member in a Tennessee district says policies should be drafted to help protect online data generated in schools. While the district already does limit who can access such information, one board member questioned whether student data should be deleted after they graduate and how information should be controlled. Officials say most information is eliminated after several years, but there is the possibility that it will be available for much longer.
