AT&T to debut 4G phones, add 4 new LTE markets

AT&T on Sunday will introduce its first two Long-Term Evolution-based phones -- the HTC Vivid and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket -- both of which run on the Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" platform and cost between $200 and $250. The company also will embark on its latest 4G network expansion, bringing LTE services to subscribers in Boston, Baltimore, Washington and Athens, Ga. According to an AT&T spokeswoman, the company plans to offer LTE service in 15 markets with 70 million people by the end of the year.
