BP reaches $50M settlement with Texas over refinery violations

BP has agreed to pay Texas $50 million to settle pollution violations at its refinery in Texas City. The settlement is part of BP's efforts to resolve issues and restore its reputation after last year's Gulf of Mexico oil spill. "BP has maintained a steady focus on improving safety and compliance at Texas City, and this agreement is an important milestone in the progress of operations at the facility," the company said.
