Renault-Nissan awards $1B in media biz to OMD

Renault-Nissan has picked Omnicom Group's OMD to handle its estimated $1 billion media business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The other finalist was Aegis' Carat, which had repped the account for eight years. The win gives Omnicom control over Nissan's worldwide media and creative accounts, with OMD already the incumbent on Nissan's global media account and sibling TBWA repping global creative for the automaker.
