AMIC says initial results on Mo-99 technology promising

Radiopharmaceutical developer Advanced Medical Isotope said preliminary tests on its proton linear accelerator-based technology showed positive outcomes. The technology could be used as an alternative to the use of nuclear reactors in the production of the medical isotope molybdenum-99. The company is preparing to start the second round of prototype tests.
