Will Google add pay TV, phone to its menu of services?

Google is in the early stages of an initiative to provide TV and phone services in competition with cable and telecom providers. The Internet giant could launch the services in Kansas City, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan., where it already plans to offer high-speed Internet service, sources say. Google, as part of this effort, has entered into preliminary talks with Walt Disney Co., Time Warner and Discovery Communications, according to this article.
