CMS releases quality measures for health IT

CMS has released new structural quality measures for health IT usage, listing 119 quality measures it plans to implement for the coming year. Among the measures are bonuses to providers who use EHRs, and an extension of the deadline for doctors to switch to true e-prescribing. CMS plans to post information by the end of the month on how it will implement the measures.
