High-end fashion designers, brands boost e-commerce efforts

Fashionistas who don't have direct access to upscale stores in cities such as New York or Los Angeles are turning to the Internet for designer apparel shopping. More luxury retailers and designers, including Armani Group and Marni, are shedding the idea that selling on the Web will diminish their status and are seeking to reach more shoppers through increased e-commerce.
