ANA offers draft plan on improving patient, worker safety

The American Nurses Association's proposed Safe Patient Handling and Mobility National Standards seeks to create a national foundation for improving patient and health care worker safety. The ANA said the draft guidelines, which cover eight broad categories essential to an effective safety culture, could be used as the basis for nurse certifications and resource toolkits.
