Fla. Board of Education hears governor's education agenda

Florida Gov. Rick Scott pitched to the Florida Board of Education at a Monday workshop his plan to improve education. Besides restoring the $1 billion in cuts he made to education his first year in office, Scott told the board his plan includes debit cards for teachers, expansion of charter schools and a matching grant program for teacher training. "This looks like it's going to be a fabulous plan for our kids in Florida," board member Barbara Feingold said.
