App seeks to educate youth about pervasiveness of geotagging

Researchers from the International Computer Science Institute have designed a mobile application that gathers the location information shared through a user's social media accounts to make a "blueprint" of the user's location over a month. The app, dubbed "Ready or Not," is meant to be an educational tool to teach young people how easily geotagging can be used to create a map of an individual's movements, co-creators Gerald Friedland and Jae Young Choi said.
