Entrepreneur pulls out of Brazilian chip venture, report says

Entrepreneur Eike Batista, the former billionaire who has been selling assets from his wide-ranging business interests, plans to withdraw from SIX Semicondutores, a joint venture with IBM and the Brazilian government, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing Frederico Blumenschein, SIX's top executive in Brazil. The remaining joint-venture partners are in talks with interested investors, Blumenschein says. An IBM spokeswoman declined to comment on the report.
