Wash. initiative for GMO labeling is rejected by voters

Initiative 522, a measure that would have made Washington the first state to require special labeling for food containing genetically engineered ingredients, was rejected by voters. According to the tally, 54.8% of voters opposed the initiative, while 45.2% supported it.
