Wheeler takes FCC helm with vow to review reform proposals

Tom Wheeler took the reins at the Federal Communications Commission with a promise to review potentially outdated regulations and bring a pro-competition and pro-consumer bent to the agency. "As networks change, those charged with the responsibility of overseeing those networks must also evolve," Wheeler told his new staff. He directed his special counsel to head a working group to evaluate proposals for operational changes.
