Heavy project moves ahead after ground stabilization in South Africa

Engineers in South Africa have successfully applied a soil stabilizer to a stadium site in Durban, which has allowed construction to continue in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup in 2010. Before the addition, the soil could not support the 150-ton crane needed to put several 450-ton sections of precast concrete beams in place.
