Disney, YouTube to launch co-branded online channel

Disney Interactive Media and YouTube are scheduled to announce an alliance today under which Disney will produce short clips for a co-branded channel on its own site and the Google-owned video site. The channel also will feature user clips culled from YouTube's daily uploads. The partnership, according to this article, is meant to help increase Disney's "cool" factor online while helping YouTube reassure parents that it offers quality fare for children.
