How's this for an alternative second language? Learning Java

For Baltimore-area father Jeff Williams, learning Java became a way to teacher his son, Chance, a new language. Chance was struggling in Spanish when his father suggested something that would appeal to his son's love of technology. School officials agreed, and Chance's knowledge of Java took off. The father, who learned to speak French during his education, thinks a similar plan can work for other children, but it might not be the right fit for everyone.
