Lamar's digital spending spree boosts sales

Lamar Advertising's most recent revenue reports show that the billboard company's yearlong push to upgrade from static to digital displays is starting to pay off. The company, which now invests about one-third of its capital expenditure budget on digital, reported third-quarter revenue of $296.7 million, higher than the $292.3 million that analysts had expected.
