Northeast courses react to aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

Private clubs in the Northeast are attempting to return to normal after Hurricane Sandy caused costly destruction and even took the life of one New York club owner. While golf courses in North Carolina are already up and running, courses in New York and New Jersey, including about 25 owned and operated by Billy Casper Golf, are following tactical plans to recuperate. “When the Hurricane Preparedness Plan was given to me, I was kind of shocked...Well, now we’ve experienced two of them in the last two years.” said Dan Guinle, general manager of Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough, N.J.
