Pentagon, charity join forces to build TBI centers

The Pentagon and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund are raising money to build as many as nine rehabilitation centers at military installations across the U.S. for service members with traumatic brain injury. Ground has been broken for TBI centers at Fort Belvoir, Va., and Camp Lejeune, N.C., and plans are being formulated for centers at five more locations. Since 2002, more than 43,000 service members have been diagnosed with TBI.
