Studies examine effects of digital media on children

While teachers see broad benefits from children’s embrace of digital media it is contributing to challenges in the classroom, according to two new reports from Common Sense Media and the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project. Educators, policy makers and parents are expressing concern around adverse effects on children’s attention spans and perseverance in the face of challenges.
