AHRQ to build technology tracking system for 14 medical conditions

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has contracted with the ECRI Institute to set up a national system to identify and monitor innovative technologies for 14 health conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer. The Healthcare Horizon Scanning System will evaluate drugs, medical devices, procedures and care delivery techniques that could improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
