Automakers add home theater to the mix

Carmakers are seeing the benefits of adding elements of home audio and video, developed in conjunction with consumer electronics companies, to their vehicles. The Consumer Electronics Association says the joint-product development strategy appears to have had a negative effect on the aftermarket shipments of CD head units.
