Dinneen seeks White House's assurance on cellulosic ethanol

The White House should uphold its pledge to commercialize cellulosic ethanol and other advanced biofuels, said Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association, in a letter to President Barack Obama. "We strongly encourage you to not only continue with the program, but to transform it so it is more accessible for cellulosic and advanced biofuel companies," Dinneen wrote. He also requested that Obama revamp the Department of Energy's loan-guarantee system for renewable energy, saying it would benefit cellulosic and advanced biofuel technologies.
