Medicare reimbursement cuts will be "a catastrophe," the AMA warns

The American Medical Association is lobbying Congress to delay Medicare reimbursement cuts for 13 months, starting Dec. 1, when a 23% cut is scheduled. The consequence of allowing the cuts would be curtailed physician access for beneficiaries, the AMA says.
