Penn. online school seeks to draw prospective students through mobile app

A small but growing number of schools and districts are creating mobile applications to help promote and disseminate information about their schools. The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School developed its own iPad app, which provides standard information and links, as well as promotional videos and information that targets prospective students and their families. "It's just another avenue for people to know what PA Cyber is all about," said Ben Brautigam, the school's R&D coordinator who developed the app.
