United Airlines changes standby policy for retired workers

United Airlines is changing its policy on free standby seats for retired workers. They will no longer receive priority boarding over active United employees for the coach seats as the carrier merges its policies with Continental. "This program recognizes the hard work of both active employees and retirees, and provides meaningful travel privileges that are competitive with the industry," said United Continental.
