A group representing 44 EHR vendors is endorsing the use of a Web-based system, called EHRevent, to report and monitor adverse events related to EHRs. The move comes amid concerns that EHRs may inadvertently elevate provider risk of malpractice lawsuits and push liability insurers to increase their premiums.
