If you're asked to break bread at a restaurant with a potential employer, make sure you let that person order first, choose food that's easy to eat and pay more attention to the conversation than your meal, advises Bill Rosenthal, chief executive of Communispond. "If you do have liquor, drink slowly and limit yourself to one, even if the boss keeps drinking," he writes.
