Report: Families are dining out more often

More families dined out together during the summer, reversing three years of recession-era belt tightening, according to a new report from NPD Group. Some chains saw traffic increase after offering "kids eat free" deals, said NPD's Bonnie Riggs. "Parties with kids are integral to the industry and make a significant contribution in both volume and sales."
