Transocean: Key Gulf-spill evidence piece is in danger of corroding

BP's failed blowout preventer, which is important evidence in the Gulf of Mexico rig blast and oil spill, is at risk of corroding, according to Transocean. Two months have passed, but federal investigators have yet to start forensic studies on the device, said Steven Roberts, a lawyer for the company. Inadequate preservation may cause the blowout preventer to corrode, he added.
