Board chairman works on curriculum for Australia schools

Barry McGaw has been charged with forming Australia's first standardised curriculum, and the National Curriculum Board chairman said the challenge will be training teachers before the reforms go into effect in 2011. The changes being drafted by McGaw include more of a focus on world history, mandatory maths and a more basic focus on the fundamentals of English.
