Apple's iOS update adjusts Siri's ears to Australian accents

When Apple updated the operating system for its iPhone 4S to address battery-life issues, it also dealt with a few other glitches, including the Siri voice recognition feature that hadn't quite worked with Australian-inflected English. Now, with the iOS 5.0.1 update, Australians "can ask Siri, 'What's the meaning of life?' and receive an accurate answer," writes Raya Greenbaum at Business Review Australia.
