EHR market will hit $8.3 billion by 2016, report predicts

The market for electronic health records is poised to reach $8.3 billion in 2016 as health groups scramble to meet the meaningful use mandates to avoid Medicare penalties by 2015, according to a Millennium Research Group report. The EHR market also has ushered in a large number of new vendors, which may not be viable over the long term, the report notes.
