California restaurant group gears up to fight new restrictions

With the so-called Happy Meal ban apparently a done deal in San Francisco, restaurant companies are turning their attention to proposed restrictions that would prohibit new quickserve eateries in Los Angeles neighborhoods with high obesity rates. Lobbyists for the California Restaurant Association are gearing up for a fight, arguing that the restaurant chains bring jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities to the communities that need them most.
