Marketers see new opportunities with Veterans Day

The long-running military conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with the continuing defense against terrorism, has helped make Veterans Day an even more popular vehicle for marketers. The promotions by marketers, such as J.C. Penney, Outback Steakhouse and Under Armour, have gone beyond the usual sales to include partnerships with veterans' charitable groups and discounts for active duty military.
