Warner Bros. pins anti-Netflix strategy on portable Flixster

Warner Bros. is betting that its Flixster digital service will persuade movie buffs to buy movies instead of streaming them online from companies such as Netflix. Warner and other studios have backed the UltraViolet movie-storage service as a means to allow buyers to watch movies on any platform after downloading them. "We must move consumers in mass numbers toward collecting movies digitally, and this is a path," said Kevin Tsujihara, president of Warner Home Entertainment.
